Instructor Beth Ann Ballek demonstrates
making a glass flower by gathering glass
an forming it.

She then pulls the glass to form the peddles.

Barb is demonstrated the proper rolling technique
to keep the glass centered

Colored glass "frit" is applied to the hot glass
to add color to the flower.

After reheating and flattening the glass, Barb forms
the flowers peddles by pulling on the hot glass

You have to work fast as the glass starts to cool
away from the heat of the furnace

After the glass is form, it's put into an annealing
oven to remove all the stresses from forming

When cooled, the glass displays all of it's brilliant color
